Fixture Design / Build
We design and machine our fixtures in-house. Not only does this allow us to machine your components faster, but it also helps to reduce the cost of machining, over buying dedicated work-holding fixtures for every part.
Using CAD based solid modeling software, a physical model, or print of your part, we design work-holding fixtures in order to securely position your part for machining. Estimated annual part usage, structure, and integrity, along with machining requirements are all used to dictate which of our clamping methods is best suited to secure your part.
Your part’s overall quality is often determined by its ability to be completely machined in as few loads as possible. Our work-holding capabilities, including vacuum, pneumatic, hydraulic, and manual clamping, will help ensure that your part is securely positioned for machining. Using “part-in-position” feedback, we can accurately detect if your part is correctly positioned before the machining cycle begins and prevent machining if a part is mis-positioned.
